Teaching kids to save money by starting with small amount

I’ve been telling my kids the importance of saving money using any amount left of their daily school allowance. Since they are kids it’s a hit and miss saving project with them. I remember this money challenge initiated by fellow mommy bloggers at the start of the year. They have been posting this money challenge table on Facebook. I was able to download and saved them for future use. Image credit to Mommy Levy. I think now is the time to introduce this money challenge table to my grown up kids starting with 10 pesos per day. (I think I’m missing the other half of the table 🙁 )

Unforgettable Christmases

I can share three Christmases that are truly meaningful for my family. The first one was our first Christmas together as husband and wife. We celebrate it with his family. It was the first time that I met Nanay and Tatay. They came all the way from General Santos City to spend the Yuletide Season with us and their two other sons and their respective families here in Manila. The old folks are warm in welcoming me as their daughter in law. My hubby was the last to marry in their family.

The other two equally memorable Christmases we had were actually the ones experienced by our children. Naomi was nine-month-old when she experienced her first Yuletide season in 1997. Khalil was five-month-old when he wore a Santa hat for the first time in 1999. As a couple, we were celebrating our 20th Christmas this year. We hope to spend the next 100 Christmases together, just kidding.

Meantime, for those who love to play karaoke songs on Christmas eve, the best item that you can use to enjoy the sound is an avalon preamp or you can use speakers that produce quality sound for the occasion.

I would like to grab this opportunity to greet each and every friends and followers I have for this site, a Blessed Christmas and Prosperous New Year!

Travelling for the Whole Family

There are some people who are so busy with what they are doing in the office that it has been years since they have last travelled. There are different reasons why people are dedicated in doing their jobs well. Sometimes, people are dedicated because they would like to become promoted. Others are dedicated because they like their jobs but all of these reasons are not enough to stop people from truly having vacations that they deserve.

After you have worked so hard, what you can do is to schedule a vacation for the whole family. There are instances when people do not want to push through with it because they think that it is too expensive. If people would truly want to take a vacation though, there are possible ways to do just that. Here are just some of the ways by which a vacation can be possible:

  • Find inexpensive locations that will be enjoyed by the whole family.
  • Schedule a vacation during off peak seasons because rates are almost half priced lower than regular rates.
  • Look for promo packages that are available on the Internet one of which is groupon deals budget/family travel. There are always deals that are available there. Just make sure that you read the requirements well just to be sure.

Planning where you would like to go is also important because it will be easier to narrow down your search for the best deals online. When you are able to travel without spending too much, it is likely that you would like to take more vacations in the future.
