Day 2: A photo of something you ate today

This is my first attempt to cook Tokneneng, the bigger version of Kwek-kwek (quail egg) which is a popular street food.

It is coated with an orange batter. The batter is a mixture of flour, baking powder, food coloring (orange), and small amount of water. Mixed the batter well. Evenly coat each pre-boiled chicken egg before you deep fry.

This is best paired with chili vinegar sauce.

The spare batter can be used for veggie tempura.

We ate tokneneng for lunch. The kids are requesting for more. 🙂
