How to save on food expenses

The demise of my mother in law in 2010 has taught me a practical tip on how to save on food (expenses) served during memorial services. I know this post will give you the creeps, but I will share it anyway. When my mother in law died, her children decided that memorial service should be held at the nearby chapel instead of holding it in one of the houses of the surviving children. If the funeral was held at home, the host will have no choice but to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for visitors. This is not practical for hubby’s siblings since not all children could give their share for the funeral expenses. The rites held at the chapel turned out to be less expensive because visitors are only served with snacks including soda and biscuits or coffee and biscuits.
