How to use the sphygmomanometer

I know I should have posted this in my health blog, but this tip can be a big help when you happen to visit the cemetery in observance of All Saint’s Day (Undas) on Thursday (Nov. 1). Throngs of people will flock to the cemeteries and you may need this instrument in case someone faints.

A sphygmomanometer is a device which is used to measure the blood pressure. This is perhaps one of the best inventions of our time. Many lives can now be saved through identifying defects in the blood flow early. The sphygmomanometer is not very difficult to use. It comprises a cuff which is normally snuggled on the upper arm. The medical expert taking your blood pressure measurements should be experienced in handling the issue. The cuff should be of a certain length for the recordings to be accurate. If the cuff is placed on either arm and the final results of each differ, the highest reading is the one which will be considered.
