Are you looking for the first house that you are going to purchase with your money? Then you should know that since it is your first, you cannot expect it to immediately be your dream house. If you have a lot of money, then go ahead but for most people, first houses are usually not their dream houses but they are still special.
Remember not to base your decision on the cost of the house alone. You also have to consider the renovations that you would have to do and how many rooms and beds with a memory foam topper you will truly need. Buying from a good real estate agent will help you tremendously too. Other than the house, you would also have to take into consideration the location of the house and the neighbors you would be living with for some time. Your first house does not need to be perfect but it should be comfortable enough for you.
