I found this book from a book sale when my kids were just beginning to explore the wonders of crayons and color paints.
This book features a lot of things to do with rocks – from the smooth to the rough type – where you can color it, embellish it all you want, and turn it into a pet. Yes, a pet! My son happened to create one but wasn’t able to color it. He just added a goggly eyes and mouth to the rock. Being young, my boy eventually lost interest to his pet rock.
Besides the tips on how to properly color a rock, the book also shared some words of wisdom, something that we can apply to everyday life.
As you wander down the (occasionally rocky) road of life, make it a rule to pick up and keep any heart-shaped rocks. You’ll find it smooths the way.
