Dolores Laureaga Lavadia
1916-2000
This week’s photohunt’s theme ‘In memory’ is very timely as my family commemorated the 9th death anniversary of my maternal grandmother Dolores Laureaga Lavadia last March. She was born on Dec. 28, 1916 to a Filipino father and a Hawaiian mother.
I had fondest memories of my grandmother. I wish I could have done more to make her life comfortable up to her last moments with us. I love her very much. Happy Mother’s Day Lola, wherever you are. She will forever live in our hearts.
And it’s appropriate on Mother’s Day too.
so you have hawaiian blood π
I’m sure your grandma knew how much you loved her.
@Lorna, thanks! π
