She was at the hospital when we saw each other again. She just finished her chemo session so she was lying in bed most of the time. She doesn’t look sick except her hair was shaven. In fact, she was jolly while we were talking about her work (she’s on leave), her family (mostly about her nieces and nephew), my kids, and other things. She even joked about not wanting her remains to be interred in a public cemetery because the place is already crowded. We laughed about it but behind those laughter is the sad truth that everyone has to face when the day comes. When we were about to leave her room, she told me that she has stage IV cancer but she didn’t say how bad the condition is. I have yet to check on her this week for an update. In the meantime, let’s all pray for her immediate healing. I do believe in miracles.
