In the brink of quitting

I was feeling down last night and almost came to a point of quitting blogging for good when I thought I lose the contents of my blog. I was looking for some information at http://sideeffectsofdietpills.net/are-diet-pills-safe/ for a post that I’m writing for another blog when I found that my other site is not properly working. I couldn’t login. It turns out that it was infected by Malware, the same virus that messed up the dashboard of my other six blogs last week. The situation was handled by my host whose blogs were likewise infected by the virus.

I find myself crying, but felt relieved after a while. Just before I go to sleep, my site is already up and working except for some visible script above the header. But that’s ok for now, what is important is that my host was able to save all my files. Thanks to her.

After what I’ve been through, I’m considering taking a breather. But I’m not leaving my blogs behind as they have been helping my family financially.

One month later…

I’m still busy with my new job…I think the changes in our schedule at home prevented the kids from enjoying their vacation. They literally spend the whole summer at home. We haven’t gone anywhere except the supermarket or convenience store near our place…I’m really busy that I can’t cook our meal, clean the house and wash our clothes…I even missed important family occasions, including my own mother’s birthday (I’m sure Nanay understands). I missed a few blogging opportunities too and the recent meet up with blogger friends.

The children are back to school but I haven’t covered their textbooks yet…I couldn’t spend a few hours to cover their books. 🙁 Good thing, my kids are smart enough to understand our predicament. We try to make them realize that what we are doing is for their own benefit. All of us really need to be patient with the current set-up for after a couple of weeks we hope to have our normal lives (schedule) back.

I missed blogging and blog hopping too (if you may ask). If ever you read new posts here, it’s just to keep my blog from ending up an orphan. 🙁

…I’m looking forward to June 27, which is our deadline for the project, finally.

A Mother’s Day gift

My daughter gave me a beautiful present last Sunday. This drawing is not me, but my daughter said, it’s the only gift she can give me for Mother’s Day. I’m deeply touched by her gesture. She never realized her dream to enrol in any art school that we promised to send her this summer. But, my daughter never complains. She did what she has to do. She spends a lot of time practicing drawing almost every day. She’s using a different drawing tool now if you notice, from pencil, to water color, and now pen.

These are two of her latest drawings that I’m proud to show you. The lines are more distinct in actual copy. I feel happy for her accomplishment, it’s more than enough gift for me.

Friends, thank you for visiting and leaving comments on my blog(s). I wish to reciprocate the same act of kindness, but I’m still busy (the busiest) with my side-line here. We are nearing the deadline, and sad to say we are half-way through the initial phase of the project.

I haven’t visited or open my FB account to say thank you to everyone who greeted me on my birthday and on Mother’s Day. I’ll just take this chance to sincerely say “Thank You” to all of you (you know who you are).

If you see an update on my blog, most likely, it’s an assignment (but not this one) nearing its deadline (I missed one opps already from SR and now I’m being punished, they’d drop all my blog PR in my dashboard for that). I hope to be back soon and pay all of you a visit. I mean all those who still remember me (no pun intended here) even if I don’t visit their site often. Thank you.

Just one last thing, I’m wishing everyone (including my own mom, whom I have not greeted or seen during the occasion) a belated Happy Mother’s Day.
