In the years that I have been shopping for gifts for my loved ones (family, relatives, and godchildren), I sure learned a lot. I practice them each year and everyone who receives my gifts always end up happy and safe. Here some things I learned.

• Buying gifts for boys are always a little trickier. Browse boys toys ahead of time and consult updated web sites that sell toys to know what is IN. You can also do this for girls.

• List down the ages of the people you will be buying gifts for, specially the children. This is very helpful because it gives you an insight what they may be interested of. Age 0-1 generally likes things that produces sounds and tickles their motor skills. Age 2-3 most of the time likes things that enhance their imagination like cooking set, doctor set, etc. Age 4-7 likes dolls, big cars. Age 8 and up are more of the interactive, techie gadgets.
