Thank you for the prayers

I almost cried when I saw my mother (my sister fondly call her Nanay) yesterday morning. She showed the typical signs of someone who has had a sudden stroke – drooping eyelid, dribbling mouth, and slightly slurred speech. Good thing her landlady immediately took her to the hospital for prompt diagnosis and treatment. Her attending physician at the East Avenue Medical Center told my aunt and uncle that my mother had a cerebral stroke based on the CT scan performed on her. She was taken to the emergency room Tuesday afternoon and was released at night.

Earlier, a beautician friend informed me about my mother’s condition. He said my mother was rushed to the nearby clinic. Hubby and I boarded our motorcycle and searched for every lying-in clinic we saw along the way. Our search was futile. We decided to go home and just wait for someone to call us at home. I thought of calling the ER of every possible hospital her companion could have taken her to. Then I received a text message from my cousin Cez telling me that my mother was at the EAMC. I called up mother’s youngest sibling to immediately come over or go straight to the hospital to be with my mother. I can’t go to the hospital because during that time I’m on my way to fetch my nieces and nephews who were left alone at home. My mother is the one taking care of all my sister’s four kids. The younger kids were crying looking for their grandmother. I told them that their grandmom is sick and doctors will make her feel well again.

After so many hours of waiting for the result of CT scan, I’m glad to know that my mother will not be confined. She needs rest at home and take her medicine on time to fully recover from her condition. What happened to my mother serves as wake up call to all of us in the family. We should think of our wellbeing more than anything else. There are no age limit to begin with healthy practices like eating right and exercise.

I hope and pray that she will recover soon and your prayers will make this happen in time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Prayer for the Sick

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore my mother to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.

A new pill for hubby’s headache and a thank you note from me

Hubby has been looking for a good pair of rubber shoes on eBay. But I have qualms about placing our first order on online store. I’ve read a couple of really bad experiences from other bloggers claiming that the items they purchased (not from eBay) failed to arrive on time or the package got lost during shipment. We don’t want to experience any of those things so hubby made a thorough check about the seller whether he has fairly good or bad selling rate through consumers’ feedback. If this transaction doesn’t give us any headache, we might also buy fioricet bluelist. Fioricet is a medicine for headache that you can purchase online. We need to have a supply of this pain reliever for hubby’s occasional headache. Just like the other day when the temperature reading was highest in Metro Manila, hubby had another migraine attack.

For the usage, dosage and side effects, you can check out Fioricet – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It will provide you information that you are looking for about the tablet. FioricetBluelist.com provides a price comparison service if you want to Order Fioricet Online for a Better Shopping Experience.

By the way, I’m happy to note that my mother is feeling a little better now after she suffered a mild stroke yesterday. Thank you for friends who conveyed their well-wish and prayers. Thanks to all of you. 🙂
