Now that you are getting ready to retire, you ought to be congratulated because you have gone through the hardest part of your life. You are now on your way to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You are looking forward to a relaxing time with your partner or maybe with the rest of your family members but what happens if you would have too much time as in you do not have a lot of things to do?

Here are some recreational things that you can do in order to spend your time the way that you want to:

  1. Take up a new hobby.

Think about a hobby that you have always wanted to do like painting or sketching. You can take some classes that will allow you to increase your skills and eventually make some paintings that will make you feel happy. You can also start searching and collecting for old and new coins. Perhaps you can start your collection by checking out local collectors.

  1. Play sports.

Who says that just because you are a retiree you cannot play sports anymore? You can always play the sport that you want. When you were working, you never had time to practice, train and actually compete with other sports enthusiasts.

  1. Start a business.

You are at this point in your life when you may have a little bit of money saved and you want to make the most out of it. You can start a business that you have always dreamed of. Did you always wish that you will have your own bakery? Perhaps you want to make a tour business. It will be your choice.

Remember that you can connect with other retirees at this point in your life or you can always link with the people that you love the most. You now have all the time in the world. It is up to you to make the most out of it.

Plan to relocate in General Santos City

Do you sometimes wish that you are starting a new life somewhere?

My husband entertains this thought when we are talking about his retirement five years from now. Hubby said he wants to stay permanently in General Santos City where he can also put up his own business. He is thinking of a printing business, but it will need a huge capital to buy printing machine and scanner software. Hubby is supposed to retire after 30 years of service with PJI. But it would be untimely since our kids would still be in school. Our family needs a steady source of income to get by before his retirement date comes.
