Newspaper ad

Still about our batch reunion. Can’t get over it huh. I don’t know any practical thing to help my batchmates prepare for the occasion. I could have contributed something, but hey, there are more batcmates who can afford to do that. And then I thought of offering a little help by way of promoting our reunion through the newspaper. I created a simple 3Ws and 1H ad for the newspaper and glad that the editor approved its publication. It may not be as big as the ads of mxl microphones, but I’m happy that it will somehow reach our other batchmates who haven’t heard or informed about our batch reunion on May 5. Speaking of microphones, I’m sure the emcee needs a powerful one as the reunion is expected to be one loud occasion due to catching up with old friends and classmates.

Batch project

My high school batch will have its reunion on May 5. I’m still not decided whether to attend or not. Okay, I’m a little excited to meet them again, but thinking about the huge crowd on the event itself makes me cringe. I’m not good at exchanging pleasantries with a large group of people. I prefer mingling with a small group that I personally know of.

From what I read on our Facebook thread, everyone’s so excited about the occasion. I guess someone suggested that the batch should have high school class rings for each member as a souvenir. But a good majority wants something else for the excess fund. They want to come up with a project that would benefit our alma mater and a group of deserving people. As for the specifics, I have no idea as I don’t attend any of their meetings.

Reunion prep

Our FB thread is so busy right now as we prepare for our 25th year batch reunion in May. The organizing committee hasn’t come up with a final plan yet, a lot of things is needed to iron out including the food catering, the digitech whammy as part of the sound system, and the venue itself. I’m not sure if they have already chosen a place at this time.

One of my batchmates has proposed a few neat designs for souvenir shirts. Everyone wants a unique design for their shirt. But, I guess, majority always rules. The simple the shirt design is, the better it looks.

I’m not sure if I will be able to attend the occasion. I still have a few more months to decide. If I won’t be able to make it, I might just give my share to the group’s fund.
