Things I’m Grateful For

Thank you, God, for the gift of life. 🙏

A surprise gift from my long-time friend, Lanie.
My fave cake from my daughter.

I’ve got a lot of things to be thankful for on my birthday this year. I’m happy to share that my health status is quite okay now. Based on my latest blood workup, there are no traces of fats in my liver. Weight loss is one of the factors that help my liver heal from fatty liver disease. I’ve lost almost 30 pounds primarily due to adhering to a low-carb diet. I eat everything in moderation, but I eat more veggies now. I’ve also added chia and flax seeds to my drinks.

Financially, we make ends meet. Despite the limited source of income, we’ve managed to support our youngest through college. We are looking forward to our son’s graduation this year. 🙏

Nostalgia

Somewhat felt nostalgic seeing this picture of newspaper clippings from my GDrive. I was inspired to work because I have supportive editors. And this award inspired me, even more, to give my best shot in everything I do for the job I love. How time flies.

My former job brought so many unforgettable memories. One of which was my interview with Psychic Stargazer at the Ultra gate in Pasig City. In the middle of the interview, Star uttered a prayer for those who perished at the stampede that occurred in the area in 2006. She said the victims need prayers to walk into the light and move on.

Stargazer, who began her formal training in psychic readings decades ago, said that seers like her just relay signs from God. She considers herself as the link between the living and the dead. Seeing spirits and communicating with them is one of the things she was able to hone as a young child.

Remembering a Supportive Boss

Remembering my former Editor, Mr. Gus Villanueva. He was a supportive and understanding boss to me then. He gave compliments for the job done and the effort I’ve put into my work.

Masarap magtrabaho when you have a boss who appreciates your contribution to the company. Kasama na rin dito ang mga supportive editors ko noon. I’ll never forget all the professional lessons I’ve learned from Sir Gus. Farewell, sir!
